Hi, I’m Bree!
I’m a third year BCA & BCM student at UOW hoping to someday make it in the world of graphic design.
My purpose in creating the online persona of ‘drawoncedrawtwice’ was to challenge my initial approach to art. I originally neglected my passion as a viable career option until I got on campus. The avenues presented by a creative approach to life are unlimited, with a never-ending need for critical thinkers in a world commandeered by forces ignoring the value in such cultural preservation. Artists are necessary more so now than ever to be able to continue the recollections of the time; documenting public opinion, rebellion and most importantly change.
My main medium remains in the digital sphere and has since mid high-school where I purchased my first Wacom tablet.. Since then, I’ve been attempting to capture my style, constantly tinkering with the outlandish abilities that a digital platform can bring to an ancient practice.’m continually fascinated by the kinds of works I can create, especially with photo-editing. I have a current obsession with making collage pieces in reference to the Pandemic plaguing the world.
While this blog contains mainly theory work, I urge you to check out my Instagram (@drawoncedrawtwice) to keep up to date with my artistic ventures. You can also scroll to the bottom of this page to check out my most recent posts on both Instagram & Twitter.
“The Pandemic Isn’t Over Just Because You Are Over It.”
