I attempted to provide thorough feedback to the three pitches in which I reviewed in a way which reflects greatly on the positives while nudging them in the right direction. I recognise the fear one may have of feedback especially in such early stages of a project so I wanted to take this into account as I made suggestions on how they could improve or better their research practices.

The pitches in which I reviewed were from Oryem, who is dedicated to the study of UX Design and will be referencing Sims 4 as his case study for his DA, Jacob, who will be continuing his Music Reaction Channel while providing more in-depth interactivity with the Eminem fandom, and Taryn, who is researching the importance of calming content and methods in reference to anxiety. All of these DA’s and Pitches were extremely passionate which was incredibly admirable and honestly provided me with more motivation for my own DA. But I digress.
By imitating a tutors position in assessing others pitches, I’ve been able to revise the holes I may have within my own. Taryn’s in particular helped me to reflect upon the importance of the researchers ethical practices which I had neglected in my own pitch, while Oryems and Jacobs helped me to revisit my own theoretical framework and how I could improve on it.
I attempted to structure my commentary to echo the necessities of the rubric however it was very hard to critically analyse while others were also doing the same with my own work. It was hard to point out all the faults when you can recognise the effort that has been put in, considering I have also been through the same process. In a way, I began to be blinded by the best in each rather than seeking the improvable.
I hope in the future I will be able to better confront the ways in which people can better their pitches and DA’s rather than focusing so much on the positives. I recognise the positives are good to point out but I feel I may have gone slightly overboard with the compliments.
Thank you so much to Oryem, Jacob and Taryn for allowing my to critic your work as it has really helped with my own research and reflection.
