To learn this week that the US election was possibly swayed by the #DraftOurDaughters movement/meme is insanity to me and I had to create content centred around the absurdity. Not only that but I added the fun twist of making it a TikTok to further validate the idea of an active audience as well as its power.

It’s fascinating to ponder the reasons why fake information can so easily be spread and amplified on the internet; In one sense, the internet has all the information we could ever possibly need as individuals at our fingertips, meaning we can easily verify the validity of information. However, with this new platform for anyone to be able to share thoughts, opinions and ‘facts’ leads to a blurring of what is actually factual information depending on your depth of research.

Perhaps TikTok will be the pioneer of destructive meme warfare for the 2020 election…To be continued?
